Dr. Ahmed sees patients Monday through Saturday. When you call for your first appointment, please have your name, address, telephone number, date of birth, name of referring physician, your insurance information, and reason for referral (asthma, allergy or immunity evaluation) available. Also, please ask your doctor to mail (or send with you) any medical information which may be helpful. We need to send information about your visit to the PCP so that we can work together in your best interest.

Dr. Ahmed emphasizes the highest quality control.  Our staff is required to attend continuing educational courses in their respective field of expertise.  We want you to know that we are dedicated to giving you the highest quality health care.

Dr. Ahmed may be reached for urgent messages by contacting the answering service at our office at our office phone number (407) 846-4000.

Please contact our office during working hours on weekdays and your prescriptions will be refilled.  Please allow at least 24 hours for your prescriptions to be refilled.  If you have not been seen in the last 3 months, depending on the severity of your illness, a follow-up visit may be necessary.

Appointments are not required but requested for receiving immunotherapy injections.  Allergy injections are administered at our Kissimmee office Monday through Saturday during office hours.

Allergy injections are given at the following locations.

  • 339 Cypress Parkway, Suite 180, Poinciana, FL 34759: Wednesdays only 11am - 5pm
  • 3123 Innovation Drive, St.Cloud, FL 34769: Fridays only 2:30 - 5pm

A consent/release form must be signed authorizing this service.  The American Academy of Allergy & Immunology and the malpractice insurance carrier do not permit administering allergy injections in your home.  Our allergy extracts are highly potent and standardized, hence dangerous if not taken under medical supervision.

On your first visit, please register 15 to 20 minutes before your scheduled appointment.  On subsequent visits, please notify the office if there are any changes in your billing address information, insurance carrier, name or telephone number.

There are two sign-in windows, one is for your visit, the other is for allergy injections.  If you cannot keep your appointment, please contact our office at least 24 to 48 hours prior to your visit to cancel or reschedule.

Getting the most out of your visit.

A bit of forethought and preparation can help you obtain the maximum benefit from your visit to AASC.

Write down in advance the questions that you want to ask your doctor.

Please bring copies of your old medical records including laboratory and X-ray results.

Make a list of your food and drug allergies.

Stop all antihistamines, cough and cold medications and tranquilizers (e.g. Elavil) 3 days prior to your visit.  If these medications cannot easily be stopped, keep your appointment regardless. Asthma medications, and heart and blood pressure medications should be continued.

Your office visit is the best time to get your prescriptions refilled and to ask questions about your medications and treatment.

Never forget that you are an active participant in your own treatment. If there is something that you do not understand, ASK! All your questions will be answered to your satisfaction.

VERY IMPORTANT:  Please bring all your medications with you to each and every office visit.

Your bill includes fees for professional physician services and diagnostic tests (skin test, lung function tests). The fee reflects the amount of time the doctor spends with you and the complexity of the medical condition. You are responsible for payment at the time of service. We accept Visa, MasterCard, and Discover. Our office  will file the claim with your insurance carrier including Medicare. The co-pay and deductibles are expected to be paid on the day of office visit. YOU are responsible for getting the referrals from your PCP for the office visit and allergy injections. The best health care is based on a friendly mutual understanding among staff, Doctor and patient. We hope that you find the staff helpful and congenial. We look forward to seeing you.
